Fastlink for browser

One of the cool tools to use your homepage is the ‘Fast link’ for your browser. It is provided when one registers on the site.

However, those of you could not save the ‘Fast link’ when registering, can do so now from their own homepage  . See the ‘What’s Next’ column and all one has to do is to click on the ‘Add fastlink to browser’ if you are using IE or drag the link to the browser , if one is using the firefox.

RSS feed directory

For the benefit of the users, we have just put up a temporary RSS Feed Directory

The members can right click on the links and add the feed to his directory.

A much more easier to use and elaborate directory would soon be available for the members. Please wait and watch..

Links to the banking and other sites

A message came from a member that he is hesitant to add the links to sites related to banking or other sites since they got a message from their bank that their sites should be avoided to be opened from outside links.

While we appreciate the precaution the banks and other institutions take in view of the various phishing scandals going on. However, I would like to reassure all the members – a 100 times – that they can put any links on their homepages. INDIASHOMEPAGE.COM is a serious and a safe portal and they need not have any worries in this regard. In case they still   want , they are always free to contact us  through the site or at  – info at balajiinternational dot com – and ask for any information to assure themselves.

Privacy of Information

As some members have asked, I would like to clarify that strict privacy of information is ensured on the site for all their information that they have not made public.

• The personal details provided by the members are absolutely safe and secure using the latest technology.
• Private homepage : For those who do not wish to share any information , they can chose to make their homepages – Private. This can be done from the ‘Settings’ section in the Control Panel.
• Private Categories : For the links which are not desired to be shared , they can be placed under categor(ies)y which are checked Private in the Control panel. So the homepage can be kept public and still some of your links can be private.
• Videos/Feeds: We shall soon introduce the privacy option for the Videos and the Feeds.

Adding new links easily..

What is the best way to add links to your homepage?

Our  recommendations are :

1. Add to My IH: This is the link you get while registering and can  be saved  on the browser. While you are navigating on any webpage, just click on the link and a window will open. The link name, URL etc are all filled up and all you need to do is to add description, category and save.. Thats it .. Never ever now lose your favourite webpages.
2. ‘Add links instantly’ : This link on your homepage(seen after login) enables you to add links for which you know the URL.. So add from here your favourite links so and build up your homepage database..
3. Control Panel : Gives you the same functionality as ‘Add links instantly’ , though you can play around with category names etc   …

So , is there now any reason to forget or miss your links?

RSS feeds

It seems that some members are having problem in using the feeds.. We shall be implementing some additional features relating to RSS shortly – which shall be announced here.

Should the categories of links be minimized?

Some members have commented that the homepage should have the categories minimized when it opens – to give a more clean look to the page. We are open to this suggestion and if it is found useful by more members, then the categories will be visible as minimized on page opening..

How to add friends ?

Many members have asked for a clarification regarding ‘How to add friends’..

All you need to do is – log in to your account, visit the homepage you like and on the right panel click on ‘Add as friend’.. That’s it..

We are also putting some clarification for the new members on their homepage so that they can do it easily.
